ABOUT US
Ribi-ribi animation studio was set up in 2015 with the aim of developing commercial and artistic animation for internet, television and cinema and with a commitment towards exporting its work to the international market for a high quality product.
Ribi-ribi concentrates on two separate fields: one of providing animation for TV series, advertising and cinema, and one of experimentation and artistic research.
The creative team have special attention dedicated to CG animation but also using 2D digital or traditional drawings, flash and mixed techniques. The studio’s various styles are often combined in order to better sustain and support the specific stories and projects dealt with.
João is a creative mind and motion-designer who co-funded The Ribi-ribi Studio.
Before starting an animation business, João spent four years as an animator for the Portuguese TV series Nutriventures. He also studied animation in ETIC - Technology, innovation and creation School in Lisbon.
João is passionate about cinema and technology, he has an excellent eye for detail, conceptual environment and special effects.

JOÃO CHIGUECO
Mina is an artist, illustrator and animator. She co-funded the Ribi-ribi Studio and creates the storyboards, concept art, backgrounds and character designs for the studio's productions.
Mina has a degree in Painting from The Faculty of Fine Arts of Lisbon.
She also worked four years as an animator for Nutriventures (TV series).
Mina has done artwork as a freelancer for many books and animations, artistic and commercial.
She is a technical perfectionist and is always chasing new projects and ideas.
